Is this legal?

Companies can generally license data they own, subject to their contracts and privacy policies. We review your rights before any buyer sees a teaser.

Do my employees need to be told?

It depends on your policies and where your team works. We review your employee policies and flag any notice requirements before a sale, so you can decide with your counsel.

Will my customers' data be exposed?

Buyers must de-identify data under the agreement, you approve exactly what is included, and regulated health and financial data is excluded at launch.

Who are the buyers?

AI companies and data providers building training environments for AI agents, such as micro1. Cache is independent and not affiliated with any buyer.

Why not go to micro1 directly?

You can. Going direct gets you one price. We put several buyers against each other and negotiate use, deletion and payment terms alongside price.

What does it cost?

Nothing upfront. We take 10–20% only if you get paid. Buyers also pay Cache a fee, and you see every offer.

How long does it take?

A price range in 72 hours, exclusivity signed within 48 hours, a two-week shopping window, a signed deal targeted about 30 days after exclusivity, and cash within about 60.

What if I already talked to a buyer?

Tell us on the form. We can still run a competitive process and will account for existing conversations in the exclusivity terms.

Is it one-time or recurring?

Either. Some buyers pay once for historical data; others pay for ongoing updates. Tell us your goal and we will look for both.

What do buyers do with the data?

They build de-identified training environments that teach AI agents how real work gets done, within the use limits in your agreement.

Can I exclude certain data?

Yes. Exclude any system, team, channel or date range before a teaser goes out.

What happens if the buyer has a breach?

Every agreement includes security, breach notification and deletion obligations we negotiate for you. Specific remedies are set in each contract.

Do I need a lawyer?

We recommend your counsel review the final agreement. Our agreements start from a counsel-reviewed template, which shortens that review.

What's the minimum company size?

20 employees, two years in business, US headquarters, and at least two systems with two or more years of history.

Can I sell to more than one buyer?

Often, yes, if the first agreement is non-exclusive. We negotiate that in the deal.

Do we have to change how we work?

No. Your team keeps using its tools as usual. The sale covers history you already have.

Will anyone know we sold data?

Buyers see an anonymized teaser until you approve a deal, and agreements can include confidentiality terms. [Confirm Cache confidentiality policy.]

How is the offer calculated?

Mainly by headcount, years of history, the number and type of systems, and current buyer demand. Competing bids then set the final price.
